We will also hold another dinghy regatta to build on the success of last year. Interested sailors please get in touch with the RC (Dinghies). It will follow the same format of two days' instruction followed by a day's racing, with sailors welcome to attend either or both.

Combat Arms Seaview Regatta

The Combat Arms Seaview Regatta, held at the beautiful seaside resort of Seaview on the Isle of Wight and racing on the Sea View Yacht Club's fleet of Mermaid keelboats, is the only 'Combat' sporting event where infantry and HCav/RAC come together to compete. The event is run jointly by the RACYC and the Infantry Sailing Association.

In 2025, the event moves back to its traditional May slot, immediately after Cavalry Memorial Weekend. We hope the timing fits better for regiments and battalions as well as the ceremonial season.

Please register interest with the Seaview Secretary, Maj Jamie Mossop, or visit the Defence Connect page.

The RACYC regularly races competitively in several offshore series, either with the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) or the Junior Offshore Group (JOG), as well as competing in Services competitions, such as the Combat Arms Seaview Regatta and the Army Offshore Regatta, and one-off events like the popular Three Peaks Yacht Race. There is a crewing policy to mix experienced and novice crew, so if you would like to get involved in any of the events listed, get in touch with the point of contact via the Yacht Manager.
