Seaview
2008 Regatta - Report and Results
The Seaview Regatta took place this year on 28/29 May, two weeks later than our normal slot, due to a clash with the Army Offshore Regatta.  This year there were 11 entries, five Regular Regts, two TA, and four from DRAC/ArmCen.  Racing on Thursday morning took place in very light winds, but these increased as the day wore on, with 5 races being completed.  That evening saw 44 members of the Regatta assembled for drinks and a sit down dinner in the Club.  Friday's sailing looked promising with a steady F3 wind blowing, which saw all 11 teams on the water, only for the wind to die again, resulting in the race having to be shortened and a very interesting 'traffic jam' at the last mark.  Six races were completed, with all teams competing in five.  Final results are detailed below:

KRH Cup - 1st  KRH  2nd  DRAC 1  3rd  AFV CIS School
Gold Cup - 1st  KRH  2nd  QRL 2     3rd =  QRL1, 1 RTR, 2 RTR
